The Fender Chalets Sonnalm are located on a sunny plateau in the Upper Carinthian Alps at 1,750 m above sea level. Our altitude ensures snow-sure conditions.
You can start your winter adventure directly from our chalets: whether with touring skis or snowshoes, there are many opportunities for extensive tours around our Sonnalm. There are also various opportunities for winter hikers and tobogganers to enjoy the fantastic snow-covered panorama.
Nearby there are beautiful ski areas with perfectly groomed slopes and magnificent descents.

You can set off on your winter adventure directly from the Fender Chalets: whether on touring skis or snowshoes – there are plenty of opportunities for extensive tours all around. Winter hikers can also enjoy the marvellous snow-covered panorama during varied tours. Our altitude guarantees snowy conditions. Conquer the Stubeck at 2,370 metres. If you want to go even higher, you can venture up the Reitereck at 2,790 metres. The Malta Valley also offers many wonderful tour destinations. We will be happy to give you tips on the most beautiful tours.

The 6.5 km² Weissensee is the largest permanently frozen and prepared natural ice surface in Europe. From mid-December to the beginning of March, numerous ice skaters enjoy this special experience.
